AHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH

Good laugh this what a police state though why can't a bloke buy something he wants to sell on?

On a website like stubhub you don't have to list the exact seat and you can just list different seats in the row. What are they going to do when someone like me a professional "bedroom" tout tries to sell the bloke next to me's seats on the Hub and they get cancelled and nicked?

USA! USA! USA! USA! USA!

I always thought Jefferson, Adams, Washington were sort of wankers and traitors but when you see shit like this going down still to this day who can blame them for what they did.

No I live in the USA.

Im changing my opinion and agreeing with everyone though Im a cunt and its horrrible to sell tickets at a profit. Just so I know though can I buy tickets off a secondary site like stubhub and a tout and resell those for a profit 2 months later if Im not buying from the venue or ticketmaster when they go onsale and be leess of a cunt??? Is that OK.

My other question is what happens when more people want to go to the event than there are seats for. I personally think that anyone who wants to attend should be able ot do so at face value. I also think they have a right to be offended if they can't. Since its criminnal to offend someone I think they need to start cancelling events when people want to go and there are no tickets left. Forget letting free markets run their course just cancel the events people can't be getting offended.

West Ham could have filled their allocation for the 2006 FA Cup Final 10 times over Im sure over 100000 Hammers were offended that they couldn't see us play for face value in person. Noone should have to watch on TV the game should have been cancelled when it was sold out and more people still wanted to go.

"USA! USA! USA! USA! USA!"

If you really were a patriot, you'd hide your nationality so as to avoid bring the US into disrepute.

Re: Cheers for a good laugh Guardian
Your justification is retarded.

Those people that wanted to go but couldn't get tickets would have got tickets if cunts like you hadn't bought them in the first place.

AdamL 3:17 Mon Mar 2
Re: Cheers for a good laugh Guardian
Presumably the resale sites will force you to scan the barcode of the ticket in order to list it and thus the only ticket that could be cancelled is yours.

They do this in the States (force you to scan the barcode that is - not cancel tix.)

Without offering a single ounce of defence to the O/P's chosen profession, this move seems much less about protecting the consumer (although it's carefully promoted as doing such) but more about ensuring that if there's ANY profit to be made from a promoted concert or performance, the promoters want ALL of that profit for themselves - even if THEY fucked up their original pricing strategy.

are you telling us you're going to have to leave your bedroom to earn a living. That must be tough. Maybe we should dip into the fund..

Kinda.

Trying to go to that one not profit.

That concert is a prime example that the resellers aren't the ones who drive up the prices, the demand is what drives up the prices and well over a million people wanting to go when it only seats 70k. And honestly the more tickets resellers buy the higher the supply on the secondary market and thus the lower the cost.

I managed to get 3 tickets in section 120 lower level at face value in my cart on ticketmaster for the 7/4 show. However I got fucked and the page when blank when I clicked continue after the delivery choice screen and lost them.

I have purchased 2 tickets for all 3 nights off stubhub for 1400 each. Decent seats 303 row 9. May resell for a profit if I don't use them.

Joke Whole 3:22 Mon Mar 2

I don't agree. It is about protecting the consumer. Gigs and shows shouldn't be about who has the most money to pay to go it should be about who gets in first.

People who can only afford to pay face value for a concert at say £45 go on line at day and time of sale. Go in to buy tickets the second they go on sale to find they are sold out. Two minutes later they are all on sale at £150+ all over the web. Not a problem if you have money to burn but many haven't and they are the ones that make the effort to get on and get them as soon as they go on sale.

People with loads of wedge don't bother because they can amble onto the internet whenever it suits them and pay four times the price of the actual value because they can.

It's unfair.
